I can tell when my mom needs more lap time. I do my best to oblige and make her feel better. When I lay my head down on her chest, I can tell something is wrong inside. It is like how I can tell there is something wrong with the ancient ones too. I wish I could just get to whatever is making mom sick and I would lick it better. That works for all my cuts and scrapes. She has been sleeping more, which I love, and eating less, I do not like that at all! I'm always hungry, why wouldn't she be? Ella is hungry all the time too, obviously there is something wrong with the human! I can tell she feels better after I give her kisses and snuggle up by her. It is a tough job taking care of her! Luckily Ella is here too! I hope it gets warmer out today so I can play outside!!

My Week
Phew, what a week I have had! The other day I got to go for a ride in Grandpa's big truck. I love sticking my head out the window, my ears flopping in the wind and mom holding me tight.
There are so many smells going by so fast. Once we hit 45mph I have to come back in because I can't blink anymore against all that wind! Once we stopped I was really worried I would be left in the truck! Thank god mom got me out. I got to sniff a bit on the ground and then we went to a house I have never been to. One of the humans smelled familiar. Then this massive boy dog came barreling towards me! I climbed up mom as much as I could! This beast had the audacity to lick my bottom so I growled and snapped at him! I got so scared I threw up right there on the table were mom and her friend were messing with some smelly dead plants. That put mom into action quick, keeping a hold on me and cleaning up my mess. She always takes such good care of me. I was ready to get out of there and we did quickly. I was so tuckered out on the way home that I crashed out!

Frogs
Last night you will never believe what happened! I was sleeping soundly on my princess pillow by the window and mom came in and woke me up. She carried me outside with grandma following. I was the only one that got to go outside. Mom puts me up to this green blob and says 'Frog', what??where?? Let me at them, I will get them. She points again and I sniff, how can this tiny thing be a frog? They are so loud! And why are there two stuck together like that? Mom and grandma started laughing like crazy folk and we went back inside.
I figured I would have to consult the ancient ones to find out what was so funny. I knew Ella and Lily would make fun of me for not knowing. I decided to ask Pixie since she plays with me once in awhile. She giggled then coughed, she is pretty old, and told me they were mating, making babies. Gross, I saw frog sex!! I think I'm scarred for life.

Squirrel Duty
A day without rain is a good day for me. There is so much more to do, like chase Petey the squirrel. He is so fast and he leaps over the fence like the jump is easy, I have tried and can't get close to the top! I guess I don't really like having other critters in my backyard. Lily and Ella don't like them either and help me chase them and keep guard up to watch for vermin and such.
I went for a ride in grandpa's big truck with mom. The wind was blowing through my hair so fast, but mom held me tight so I wasn't scared. The place we went had tons of humans, it was great. I hadn't seen that many people in a long time. Lots of them gave me pats and kisses. I was adored in there. One lady even gave me a biscuit. Then there was an entire row that smelled of biscuits and food. I could of stayed there all day, but I could tell mom was starting to get sick again so I needed to get home and snuggle with her. I also needed to do squirrel patrol, and I think I will do it from the comfort of my bed on the desk! Lily and Ella get mad when I leave without them. I try and try to tell them they have to be quiet and nice to all humans mom likes, but they can't do it. Some dogs are just too high strung!
This coat is really comfy and warm for those chilly days of watching the birds and squirrels taunt me from outside. I'm off to beg some treats of grandma, she is a pushover!

The Sunny Day
I love the sunshine because it means I get to go outside! Ella, Lily, and myself took my mom and grandma for a walk, it is good for them to get out (mom's also packed on a few extra pounds from that nasty prednisone). On our walk we ran into these huge mammoth size dog things I had never seen before. Naturally, I started barking. Mom and Grandma quickly made us turn around and kept talking about not scaring horses. Humans are weird.
We got to play in the back yard for so long today! I found a dried up worm and wanted mom to see it, but she wasn't too happy about it. Us young pups always keep watch and make sure to scare away the vermin. The two ancient dogs Pixie and Corkie came outside too. I tried to get them to play but they didn't want to.
There is also a frog that is tormenting because I can't find him and he just keeps going croak croak croak. Sometimes if I bark really loud it will stop. I had a long day, kinda tuckered out. Few pics of my days activities below:

Matching
Today my mom decided to try to match me, silly humans. She put on a few shades of brown and put her hair in pigtails and all the sudden she thinks she looks as cute as me. You can't just throw a bow in your hair and call yourself cute. It takes hard work and dedication to be as cute as I am 24/7. This pose took weeks to master -
Above is her attempt at matching me. After that picture I got more morning vitamin treat, just for taking a picture, life is sweet. Finally, after weeks of trying I got a three way tug of war going with Lilly and Ella! It is so fun when all three of us play together!! Oh no, somebody is here!!! I gotta go see what all the other dogs are barking about!

Bath Day

Let me introduce myself first, I'm Wickett a one and half year old Yorkshire Terrier, that is in your terms, to me I'm a teenager. Obviously, since I can form sentences! I live in a really nice crib. There is a huge backyard full of squirrels, rabbits and birds. Another big bonus is not only is my sis, Ella, here but my cousins Lily, Pixie and Corkie. Ella and Lily are young like me, only 4 or 5 in human years. Life here is off the hook! Whenever my human mom sits at her desk, I sit right on the desk beside her on a pillow, next to an open window. I get to watch the birds from the comfort of my pillow, ahhh. I just moved here a couple of months ago. My mom has been pretty sad since we came here, I don't know why it is great! I sit in her lap and give her more kisses and that makes her smile.
Today was bath day, ugh. First I had the extensive brushing, I swear mom thinks she is a surgeon the way she gets my mats out. Then it is into the sink for me and I get treats just for being in the sink and I'm still dry, score! I get cold so fast, I was shivering. The bath seemed like it took forever. It felt great after it was done though, I got to run all over the house rubbing on everything. That made my mom laugh and it makes me happy when she laughs so I wagged my tail even more. I sat through the blow drying acting like I was suffering, but it is actually quite relaxing...so warm.
The sun came out and the leashes came out. A walk, one of my favorite things. Ella and I were so excited. We stayed still long enough to let mom get the harness' on and then we were out the door. In the wide open country. I hardly ever see people out here. Although earlier today some people I didn't know came over, the man gave me a lot more attention than the lady, so I guess they were OK. I sniffed lots of squirrel holes on the walk and got to pee everywhere it was great.
I got to watch Lily get a bath later, I tried to help and calm her down as you can see from the picture! She really doesn't like baths. Afterward she really ran and played with me, it was so much fun. She is bigger and stronger being a schnauzer.

Ok, time for a nap! I got kisses from my mom when I laid my head down, glad she is my mom.
Love Wickett
